GoFAR Forest 4.2.1 Run

We have renamed this race from 'GoFAR Forest 4 Miler' to 'GoFAR Forest 4.2.1 Run' as we now have 4, 2 and 1 mile runs as part of this event. 

This is our 4th running of the 4 miler with the 2 mile added last year (2022) and now a 1 mile. The 2 & 1 mile are open for all ages and utilizes the course we call the 'Battle Cry 1 Mile'. When we want to strengthen our overall fitness we work the Battle Cry 1 Mile run into our Marine Corps based obstacle course.  For this race, just run the course to feel a true trail run or push it to see if have what it takes to hold the burn. Don't anticipate super fast mile-splits as this course will test your will and skill but all with a thrill! 

For those who have not heard of GoFAR USA Park we are an outdoor adventure park with farm experience and petting zoo near I65 on the east side of Decatur, AL between Priceville and Hartselle.  Check us out at  https://gofarusapark.com/ and  on Facebook. 4 Mile Starts at 8am

2&1 Mile Start together at 9am

Single Track dirt trails after a start on a wider gravel path. Some flats, hills, roots and rocks! This course will test your courage and endurance while taking you into the great forested outdoors! The 2 & 1 mile runs are on our Battle Cry 1 Mile course so anticipate a challenge. Suggestion, as the 2 mile is 2 laps of the 1 mile some runners may want to run the 1st lap of the 2 mile with a younger (their child) or new runner and then push the 2nd loop for the full experience.

Chip Timing by the River City Runners (www.rivercityrunners.org) to catch your Finish. We will start on a wider gravel & dirt path for the first half mile or so and then the majority of the trail will be a dirt single track. This trail will provide a challenge to all with gravel, dirt, roots, rocks, maybe a bit of water, some flats and some hills.  After you sign up you are welcome to come pre-run the trail during normal business hours.

Fee through April 30th*:

- 4 Mile: $25

- 2 Mile: $15

- 1 Mile: $12

- 4 & 2 Mile or 4 & 1 Mile: $30**

*Fee Increases by $10 for entries after April 30th.

 **Note the 2 & 1 mile runs will be coincidental so pick one to go with your 4 mile and make it a double.

List your shirt size when registering.

Age Group awards for the top 3 finishers in each age category for the 4 mile and top 3 male & female runners in the 2 & 1 mile!

Bring your families and enjoy the natural playscape, Human Foosball & Gaga Ball courts and our obstacle courses free for your family's use during the run. Just stay clear of the running trail.
