5k Trail Run at GoFAR USA Park

The name says it!  Stay safe but Keep running and get back to non-virtual racing! Our slogan at GoFAR USA Park is 'Get Out and Play!' Rain or shine this is a run / adventure through the forest that you will not want to miss. For those who have already tested the trails, this is a modified course with less hill climbs than we ran with the River City Runners.

For those who have not heard of GoFAR USA Park we are an outdoor adventure park near I65 on the east side of Decatur, AL.  Check us out at  https://gofarusapark.com/ and  on Facebook. We just opened to the public back in March right at the time of Covid 19 onset. While we have recently become quite busy we kept a low profile during the early stages of the pandemic but now have been providing a place for families to escape home captivity to 'Get Out and Play!'

Single Track dirt trails after a start on a wider gravel path. Some flats, hills and rocks! This course will test your mettle while getting you into the forested great outdoors!

Runners will start in 2- 5 second intervals with the fastest anticipated participants seeded in front. We will start on a 5-6 feet wide gravel / dirt path for the first half mile to allow everyone to find their true place before hitting the single track portion of the trail. Just call your pass ('on your left') and make your move as necessary on the single track.

Age Group awards for the top 3 finishers in each age category!

Bring your families to try out our 24 feet high rock climbing wall with (2)auto-belays, 60 feet paintball shooting range and our (3)10 feet high platform ziplines. There will be a small fee with these to help with our costs. The natural playscape, our US Marine Corp based obstacle course and a basic Ninja obstacle course will be free for your family's use during and for a short time after the run.
